We've Been Where You Are
Way Home Detox wasn't built from a business plan. It was built from lived experience — the kind that leaves a mark.

Jack, Mitch, and Ronan have each walked through addiction and found their way back. Not as a clinical exercise or a professional interest, but as something that touched their own lives, shaped who they are, and made this work feel less like a career and more like a calling.

Between the three of us, we've spent years in recovery. We know what it feels like to need help and not know where to turn. We know the fear of asking. We know the hope that comes when someone actually shows up for you — and the damage that happens when the care you receive feels cold, rushed, or shameful.

That's why we built something different.

Way Home Detox exists to give people the safest, most compassionate entry point into recovery possible.

Detox is the hardest part. It's the moment when everything feels most uncertain — when the body is working against you and the future is hard to imagine. What happens in those first days matters enormously. Not just medically, but emotionally.

Our Clinical and Leadership Team
Our team formed with the singular goal to build something meaningful, that we could all be proud of. We are passionate about helping others because that is what others did for us. Our collective and varied journeys to sobriety, give us a the depth and perspective we need to meet our clients where they are, knowing one or all of us have been there too.
Ronan Hanely
Founder
Ronan Hanley is the founder of Way Home Detox. Originally from Ireland, Ronan made his way to the United States in his early years and built a life in the construction industry. With 15 years in recovery, he knows firsthand what it takes to rebuild from the ground up. Now, Ronan is channeling that same determination into something bigger — helping others find their way home.
Jack Anderson
CEO & Executive Director
Jack Anderson has been in recovery since October 3, 2015, and has spent the last five years working in addiction treatment — bringing hands-on experience in both nursing and administration to his work. As CEO and Executive Director of Way Home Detox, Jack leads with the conviction of someone who has lived it. His mission is simple: to give others access to the same life sobriety gave him.
Mitch Marshall
COO & Founder
Mitch is a Sonoma County native who has been in recovery for 20 years. Shaped by sobriety and grounded by family, he has watched this disease take too many lives — and carries those losses as fuel for his work. Mitch brings an unmistakable energy to everything he does; his charisma and genuine love for people have a way of meeting anyone exactly where they are. He shows up as a voice for those who can no longer speak for themselves.
Tore Anderson
Business Development Specialist
Tore Anderson made his way to California from Minnesota, and like many, found himself losing direction along the way. It was through sobriety that Tore rediscovered who he is — and fell back in love with life. That personal journey now drives his passion for helping others find their footing and experience the same transformation he has.
Tara Kesecker
Director of Nursing
Tara Kesecker serves as Nursing Director at Way Home Detox, bringing years of experience in addiction treatment nursing to her role. Known for her commitment to the highest safety standards, Tara leads with both clinical excellence and genuine care for every patient she serves. Her dedication to the field reflects not just professional expertise, but a deep belief in the importance of safe, quality care during one of life's most critical moments.
Sarah Wright
Clinical Director
Sarah Wright is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 12 years of experience in behavioral health. As Clinical Director of Way Home Detox, she provides compassionate, trauma-informed care that supports recovery, emotional wellness, and lasting healing.
Sarah holds a B.A. in Psychology and Communication from UC Davis and an M.S. in Counselor Education with a specialization in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. She combines extensive clinical experience with a whole-person approach to helping adults overcome substance use challenges.
